Empowered Witness The Message of Pentecost Acts 2:22–36

Tonight we continue our Empowered Witness study through the Book of Acts as we move deeper into Peter’s powerful sermon at Pentecost.

After explaining the coming of the Holy Spirit, Peter now turns to the heart of the message—the person and work of Jesus Christ.

In this study, we will walk through Acts 2:22–36 and explore:

• How Jesus was publicly revealed and confirmed by God

• Why the crucifixion was both God’s plan and man’s responsibility

• The power and proof of the resurrection

• How the Old Testament pointed to Christ

• Why the risen Jesus is now exalted as both Lord and Messiah
